GENERAL INFORMATION

Dear Player,

First of all we would like to welcome you to the Great Dane Handball Club. Below is listed all the important things you need to know as part of the club.

Registration at England Handball Association (EHA):

In order to play in the Handball League & the British Cup all players need to join the Club and be registered with the England Handball Association (EHA). You can find the forms along with instructions and costs in the Join Club section of our website.

Dates – League Games:

Games are usually played twice a month.

Social Events:

We are very sociable at the club and tend to go out quite often. Though, activity level varies depending on games, holidays etc. If you have any good ideas for an event or something fun to do, please be free to suggest this either by email or at practice. The more you get involved – the more fun :o) The next event is on its way...

Great Dane Mailing List:

It is very important that you join the Great Dane Mailing List as ALL information from the club is distributed via email. These emails can be everything from social events, games, schedules, contact lists or if a practice is cancelled.
If you haven’t already joined please go to the Mailing List section of our website and follow the instructions.

Training Times:

Men every Tuesday and Thursday from 8 to 10 pm.
Women every Tuesday from 8 to 10 pm
Unfortunatelly, the club does not have any funding to pay the court hire for the trainings so all players that come to practices should pay £6 per session. It is also recommended that each player is cover with an insurance as the club will not be responsible for injuries.

Miscellaneous:

We have players on all the levels and everybody is more than welcome to join the club – even if you haven’t played before.
If you can’t afford to participate in the games or can’t make the practice for some reason that is of course acceptable and nothing you should worry about. There are no specific requirements for joining Great Dane Handball Club. It is all about having a good time, a laugh, play games and making new friends!
