1^st and 2^nd of May 2010 Great Dane Men visited Koblenz ,Germany to play against

TV GULS 1890 e.V.,Final result GD vs Guls 33:20

• The men team took part in the Liverpool International Tournament on 29^th May -1^st June

• International handball game

28^th and 31^st of May 2010 Great Dane Women visited Leiria ,Portugal to play against Colégio João de Barros for the Friendship Cup

• Great Dane's Race for Life

Some of the players at Great Dane Handball Club run 5km for Cancer Research .

They have been running in Hampstead on the 06/06/2010 and managed to do the Run in 35min together.

• Tomasz half marathon

As you already know following the good example set by some our girls ,one of our men team member ,our established left half player Tomasz Szakola

has decided that he will run a half marathon in support of the BbyB charity,in his own words “every day, in the sun, rain, cold or fog I run and think of the money I will raise for the Brick by Brick Charity. They provide the accommodation for homeless people, the ones who are not so lucky to have one. So please don't be shy but be generous. And, I will do the running .”He said it so has to do it....

I would like to thank all of you who has sponsored me running half marathon last weekend. 
 
I really appreciate it.
 
I thought you might like to know how did it go so the final results are here:
 
- 1h 59mins 46sec,
- 1986 calories burnt during the race (not sure how much during warming up)
- 4842th place out of around 14500 participants
- 1693 women were faster
- sore legs for 2 days after
- 1 pint only downed after the race
- 60 pounds parking penalty for parking in restricted zone during the race (if paid within 14 days)
- strong will of not enrol myself again :)
